In case of infection by HIV-1, acts as a cofactor forviral Rev and promotes movement of Rev-responsiveelement-containing RNAs from the nuclear periphery to thecytoplasm. This step is essential for HIV-1 replication.

When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4℃.
